Comments and Feedback form questions answered

"I feel lucky to have had Paul allocated to me, especially as the end of what has been a very challenging week.

I feel empowered and able as a mother and more relaxed.

The world and this hospital could greatly benefit from more midwives like Paul.

How ironic that the best breastfeeding 'coaching' and the best i have felt so far was as a result of the approach of a male - who can not know what it feels like to breast feed"

Thank you Paul you made the world of difference to us.

Woman in was seen as difficult by other staff, the handover was about problems with BF

the other MW on with me made a positive statement of Intent (Julie)

"We will normalize the BF today!"

My initial greeting was met with relief by the woman, as i recognised her baby's trauma (very squashed asymmetrical head) there were lots of BF gadgets in the room incl nipple shields; syringes, lactaid etc none or which were now required as the breasts were full and soft, with easy flow of good milk and baby was not difficult, tho a little impatient, she was able to suck well, and open her mouth for a good fix, and was re-fixed whenever she reduced her mouth or moved to the nipple.

The woman phoned her partner (a Calm Dutch man Johan) stating her positive experience and expectations again making it happen through positive intent.
